The NX Editor equipped with Attributes Based Requirements (ABR) functionality meets the needs of manufacturers of VIN-specific wire harnesses. In these operations, wire harnesses are manufactured for installation in low-volume, highly-optionable products such as large trucks or buses. Each truck or bus must be equipped with a unique combination of options that have been ordered by the customer, and wire harnesses that support those options must be fabricated for each truck or bus.

The NX Editor (ABR enabled) provides the capability to create a master program that defines all sub-harnesses for each possible option and to compile a unique program for every wire harness to be tested base on a VIN-specific list of options.
